Gustavo Aroca Martínez
Gustavo Aroca Martínez is a renowned Colombian physician and researcher, specializing in nephrology and internal medicine. He graduated in 1980 as a medical doctor from the Fundación Universidad del Norte, where he has been a full professor since 1987. Aroca furthered his education with specializations in Internal Medicine and Nephrology at the Central Military Hospital. Later, he earned a PhD in Research and Teaching from the Panamerican Center for Higher Studies in Mexico.
Since 1991, he has served as the scientific director at the Clínica de la Costa, leading research on kidney diseases such as lupus nephritis and chronic renal failure. His contributions have been pivotal in advancing the treatment of these conditions in the Caribbean region of Colombia, earning him numerous recognitions at national congresses.
